About The Author

Kristina Minaglia has lived in Wisconsin since she was eight years old. She began writing her testimony, “Life Lesson: A Testimony of God’s Grace Following an Attempted Suicide” shortly after her son’s birth. In the meantime, she worked in manufacturing while striving to obtain her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work, where she received Cum Laude Honors. It wasn’t long before the Holy Spirit prompted her to focus on turning her testimony into a book, in order to provide hope for others who may be experiencing similar trials. She enjoys walking, writing, spending time with family, encouraging others and adores the beauty of God’s creation in nature.

She created a blog to provide continued insights and reflections, following the completion of her testimony. This is also a place where interested readers are able to communicate with the author. You can send her an email at the address listed on the top of the page.

All statements in her blog are purely her opinions, based on her own personal experiences.

PSALM 116

Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death

I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

3 The pains of death surrounded me,
And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me;
I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called upon the name of the Lord:
“O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”

5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
Yes, our God is merciful.
6 The Lord preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me.
7 Return to your rest, O my soul,
For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

8 For You have delivered my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
And my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before the Lord
In the land of the living.
10 I believed, therefore I spoke,
“I am greatly afflicted.”
11 I said in my haste,
“All men are liars.”

12 What shall I render to the Lord
For all His benefits toward me?
13 I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of the Lord.
14 I will pay my vows to the Lord
Now in the presence of all His people.

15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints.

16 O Lord, truly I am Your servant;
I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant;
You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of the Lord.

18 I will pay my vows to the Lord
Now in the presence of all His people,
19 In the courts of the Lord’s house,
In the midst of you, O Jerusalem.

Praise the Lord!

PSALM 30:1-5

“I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

While I was dead in my sin – wretched, lost and unsaved – attempting to put an end to my misery – without hope and without a future – the loving and merciful El Shaddai stepped in and intervened in the midst of my desperate cry for a reason to live – He spared my life and gave me a reason to live – now, I live for HIM – He is my everything
